With reference to the notice issued on 11.04.2018 and distributed on 12.04.2018 in leading daily papers in Assam for enlistment of 130 posts of Sub-Inspector (Un-armed Branch) in Assam Police, it is for general information that the Govt. of Assam has given endorsement for enlistment of another 360 posts of Sub-Inspector (UB) In Assam Police. Such, the aggregate number of opening for the recruitment of Sub-Inspector (UB) will be 490.

Educational qualification:



Sub-Inspector of Police (Un-Armed Branch)
The Candidate must be a graduate in Arts, Science, Commerce or equivalent stream from a recognized College/Institutions affiliated to a recognized University.

Age: New candidate (who has completed graduation after the publication of the above advertisement dated 11.04-2018) should be born on or below the dates given below for implementation.

A) Normal: Born between 01-01-1994 and 01-08-1998
B) OBC and M.BC .: born between 01-01-1991 and 01-09-1998
C) SC / ST: born 01-01-1989 and 01-08-1998

Salary: Rs. 14000-49000 (pay band number 2) plus Rs. 8700-grade pay

Physical standards:

Height (minimum)
A) General / OBC / MOBC / SC: Male- 162.56cm, Female- 154.9 4cm
B) ST (H) / ST (P): Male- 160.02cm, Female- 152.40cm

Chest (For Men Only)
A) General / OBC / MOBC / SC / ST (P): Normal - 80cm, Extended - 85cm
B) ST (H): Normal- 78 cm, expanded- 83 cm

NB: Before the publication of the advertisement of 11.04.2018, the graduate level candidates could not apply for various reasons, however, although applications can apply, the age limit for such candidates is 11-04-2018.

Selection Process: Candidates whose applications are found correct in all cases will be called for a written examination which will be held in all the district headquarters. Candidates will have to appear for written examination in the District of their current residential address. The President reserves the right to change the place of trial at this place and no representation etc. will be entertained. Before entering the examination center, biometrics of each candidate will be done.

Written Examination will be 100 points and will be fully OMR based. There will be 100 questions and each question will be 1 (one) digit. For every wrong answer, the negative marking of a ½ mark will be. Questions will be set in three parts:

(i) logical reasoning, qualification, understanding
(ii) matters related to the history and culture of Assam and India and
(iii) common sense

Candidates will use black or dark blue ball pen to answer the OMR based answer sheet. The duration of the examination will be 3 (three) hours.

In respect of each class (Unreserved, ST (P), ST (H), OBC / MOBC) the number of posts will be called for only 5 times the number of PST (physical standard test) and PET (physical efficiency). Test) on merit basis. A list will be published in Assam's leading daily newspapers along with the Assam Police website.

Physical Standard Test: After the call letter and identification is correct, candidates will be asked to join PST. There will be no marks in PST. The height, weight, and chest of the candidates (for men only) will be taken after which the candidate will be inspected by a medical officer, in which knee-inspection, vision test, color blindness test, flat feet, varicose veins, physical deformities etc. Varicose veins will be considered temporary disabilities. Once the candidate approves PST, he will have to appear in the Physical Skill Test (PET).

Physical efficiency test: Physical efficiency test will be 40 marks. There will be 2 (two) incidents like this.
A) 1600 meter race for male candidates and 800-meter race for women candidates.
B) Long Jump - 335 cm (minimum) and female for 244 cm (minimum), 3 possibilities (the longest legitimate jump will be considered).

Male candidate:
A) Race: People who qualify in PST will have to participate in 1600 meter race to complete within 450 seconds. The maximum qualifying time is 450 seconds.
B) Long jump: For a long jump minimum 335 cm (3 occasions should be given and spherical closest to the nearest cm will be considered to give the marks to the longest jump).

Female Candidate:

A) Race: People who qualify in PST have to participate in 800 meters race within 240 seconds. Maximum qualifying time - 240 seconds.
B) Long jump: minimum 244 cm for long jump (to be given 3 occasions and the longest legal jump to the nearest cm will be considered to give marks).

Apart from this, the point number of the advertisement issued on 11-04-2018 IV- The following is added in paragraph 3 of 'Selection Process'.

If in any particular case 5 times the candidate is the candidate who obtains the same marks in the written examination as a final candidate for PST (Physical Standard Test) and PET (Physical Standard Test) by Formula, the candidates who scored the same marks There will also be calls for PST / PET, and therefore the number for that particular case and category can be up to 5 times the limit.

Application Fee: There is no application fee.

How to Apply: Application should be submitted online through Assam Police website www.assampolice.gov.in. Online application of eligible candidates who did not apply earlier in compliance with the advertisement for 11-04-2018 will be received w.e.f. 23-10-18 to 12-11-2018 through the Assam Police website assampolice.gov.in However, there is no need to re-apply the candidates who apply first.
